Firopotamos is a fishing village at the northern end of Milos, 4km. northeast of Plaka, the capital of the island, in a small bay. According to the 2011 census it has 4 inhabitants.
Firopotamos has one of the best beaches on the island and is a small port built around a natural creek.
In the bay of Firopotamos, there are also the famous “wires”: the small houses in which the boats are kept during the winter season and which, in the summer, the owners use for summer residences.
