Listing Description
The Museum opened in September 2008 and is housed above the port of Adamas, in the building of the old Community of the island.
It was created by the efforts of Dr. Petros Armenis to collect a number of exhibits related to maritime activity in Milos. The exhibits start from the prehistoric era, with obsidian tools, proceed to the naval battle of Salamis and end in recent years.
At the Maritime Museum you also have the opportunity to see rare maps by expert cartographers and the famous wooden boat “Peace”.
